Most colorways can be ordered on most of my yarn bases. See ‘Yarn Bases’ for more details about the individual bases
Yes, it is!
SkillfullyTangled yarn is suitable for a wide range of crafts: knitting, crocheting, weaving!
Dye-to-order means I dye the yarn specifically for your order. This is usually the case if you order something I don’t currently have in stock (or you order more than what I have in stock). As these yarns are only dyed once I receive your order, it means your order will ship within 5-10 business days.
Yes, you can! I will dye any yarn you’ve ordered that I don’t have in stock once I get your order, and your order will ship within 5-10 business days.
In that case, the order will ship once everything is ready. If you’d like the in-stock yarns to be shipped right away, please place two separate orders.
In the product listing, just above where you add the yarn to your cart, it will show how many skeins I have in stock. If order more of something than what I have in stock (aka dye-to-order), it will tell you in the cart and checkout.
I use acid dyes, which result in bright and saturated colors that don’t fade. The dyes are non-caustic and are very safe! They are called ‘acid dyes’ because they require a bit of acidity to bind to the fiber. I use citric acid which is the acidity from citrus fruits in powdered form to achieve this. All the dye is absorbed by the yarn while dying it, so the whole dyeing process is very low-impact.
I try and photograph the yarn so it looks as close to real-life as possible. However, due to differences in computer screens and lighting conditions, the yan might look slightly different in real life.
As the skeins are dyed by hand, they are all unique. I do my best to keep the process as consistent as possible, but there might be slight variations.
It depends. I currently do not accept custom orders when it comes to colors. However, if you want more than what we have in stock of a certain colorway, or would like it on a different yarn base, shoot me an email at [email protected] (or fill in the form below) and we will see what we can do!
Yes, I do!
You will see your final shipping costs at the checkout, as it depends on where you live and the weight of your chosen yarn.
Please be aware that in some countries there might be additional customs fees.
You can always exchange products for a different one (stock levels permitting) or store credit. If a product is faulty you can return it. Please check any orders as soon as they arrive and report any faults immediately.
At the moment I am a one-woman company, which means I can adhere to all distancing/safety guidelines while dyeing yarn or doing office work. The Swiss Post, however, which I use to send all parcels, still only accepts priority parcels; meaning I, unfortunately, had to slightly increase the shipping cost. (7. January 2022)
