Luxury Hand-Dyed Yarn

Small batch hand-dyed yarn that is released in seasonal collections. Dyed With Love in Switzerland Since 2019

🌸 Spring Garden 🌼

Imagine sitting outside in the garden, sipping a cappuccino, the air is still a bit fresh but the sunlight is already warming you nicely. The birds are tweeting and a frog is jumping into the nearby pond. The Daffodils and Mandevilla are in full bloom and the grass is green and lush. The bees are buzzing busily and you know you have nothing to do but sit here and enjoy the moment.

This moment of newness, freshness, lightness was basically my mood board for the new yarn collection – 🌸 Spring Garden 🌼!

All ten colors of the Spring Garden Collection together with spring decoration
From top, left to right: Peach Sorbet, Vintage Rose, Daffodil, Pond, Flower Power, Magnolia, Fresh Cut Grass, Mandevilla, Pebbles, Feel the Breeze

The yak Collection

A collection of ten tonal hand-dyed yarn, all dyed on the Yarn Sock base which consists of 70% Superwash Merino, 20% Yak, and 10% nylon. Yak fiber is extra soft and light, while also being very breathable! Since yak wool is naturally grey – and not white like most Merino – all the colors are a bit darker and more muted.

Ten skeins of yarn in different colors together
Top row, from left to right: Terracotta, Dried Cranberry, Frozen Lake, Lapis Lazuli, Spruce Forest
Bottom row: Mustard, Wild Yak, Elk, Mahagony, Jackdaw

Stitch markers

Metal stitch markers & progress markers in various shapes and sizes help you to keep track of your rounds. Simple rings stitch markers for those who prefer a clean and classical look, and moon- and honeycomb-shaped ones for those who like it a bit more whimsical.

The Fantastic Beasts collection

This collection of hand-dyed yarn is inspired by many mythical and fantastic creatures such as the flamboyant phoenix or the future-telling demiguise!

About SkillfullyTangled Yarn

I am Steffi, the dyer behind SkillfullyTangled Yarn! I love to create bright, beautiful, and unique yarn that inspires other knitters, crocheters, and weavers!

Dyeing yarn is my creative outlet that allows me to express feelings and thoughts that are on my mind. Inspiration often comes from things around me, be it a book I like or a beautiful place I’ve traveled to (or would like to travel to).

Quite often the yarns I create are also seasonally inspired because there’s something I deeply love about each of them: bright and hot summer days, moody fall vibes, the clean freshness spring brings. And let’s not forget my two favorite holidays: Halloween & Christmas!

All the yarns are dyed locally here in my studio in Winterthur, Switzerland. The studio is my main dyeing space but also has a small area where you can view the yarn. So if you’d like to experience the yarn in person, or see what a yarn dyeing studio looks like, come on by! I’d love to see you! (you can find all the details on the Contact page)
