Nothing is as uniquely Provence as Lavender. When you see the huge fields of lavender, stretching almost as far as the eye can see, it is not surprising that most of the world’s commercial lavender is actually grown in the Provence. The fragrant herb has many uses, especially for soap and cosmetics, but is also used as a culinary spice.

I use 4ply Merino wool for all my yarns. It features very fine fibers of 19.5 microns, so it feels gentle and soft. The 4ply - meaning four individual strands are spun together - and superwash makes it strong and durable. A very versatile yarn that is suitable for a wide range of knitted, crochet, or woven item; such as shawls, sweaters, hats, mittens, blankets, or baby clothes. Hand-wash the yarn in cold water and lie flat to dry.
